1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of TV Remote Control | Universal (the “App”) and related support website. By downloading, accessing, purchasing through, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA. If a provision conflicts with mandatory Apple terms, the applicable Apple terms control.

2. The App and compatibility

The App provides remote-control and related features for compatible Smart TVs and streaming devices. Depending on the TV brand, model, software version, country, and network configuration, features may include device discovery, pairing, power, volume, channel, navigation, keyboard input, input selection, app launching, media controls, Wake-on-LAN, and photo or video casting.

Compatibility varies. A brand or platform being listed does not mean every model, firmware version, command, or feature is supported. Some TVs require a one-time confirmation, pairing code, enabled network standby setting, or manufacturer-specific configuration.

Your iPhone and TV generally need to be connected to the same local network. You are responsible for your network, TV settings, device permissions, Internet access where required, and any charges from your network provider.

3. License

Subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules, solely for lawful personal use.

No ownership rights are transferred to you. The App, website, design, software, text, graphics, and other original materials are protected by intellectual property laws.

4. Permissions and local network access

Core functionality requires Local Network access so the App can discover and communicate with compatible TVs. Optional features may require access to media that you specifically select. You may change permissions in iOS Settings, but disabling a required permission can prevent the related feature from working.

You may only connect to and control devices that you own, control, or are authorized to use.

5. Purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions

The App may offer free functionality, paid features, free trials, introductory offers, one-time purchases, or auto-renewable subscriptions. The exact product name, duration, trial or offer terms, price, and included features are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm payment.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed.
  • An auto-renewable subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
  • Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Where available, “Restore Purchases” can be used to restore eligible purchases associated with the same Apple Account.

Prices may vary by country, currency, tax, and Apple pricing tier. Apple processes billing and refund requests under Apple’s rules. Except where required by law, we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the App to access or control a device without authorization;
  • use the App for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity;
  • interfere with the App, its security, another user’s network, or a TV platform;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, modify, scrape, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the App except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • circumvent purchase, subscription, access-control, rate-limit, or security mechanisms;
  • misrepresent affiliation with us or use our branding without permission.

We may suspend access to paid features or support where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, a material breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or platform security.

7. Third-party platforms and trademarks

The App interacts with TVs, operating systems, protocols, and services provided by third parties. Those products and services are governed by their own terms and may change, limit, or discontinue functionality without notice.

All third-party brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify compatibility. TV Remote Control | Universal is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an official product of Apple, Samsung, LG, Roku, Google, Amazon, Vizio, Hisense, or any other TV manufacturer or platform provider.

8. Updates, availability, and changes

We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or remove features; change supported platforms; issue updates; or discontinue the App where reasonably necessary. Some updates may be required to continue using the App. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, compatibility, or uninterrupted operation.

We do not guarantee that the App will work with every TV, network, command, operating system version, or future firmware update. Wake-on-LAN and power controls in particular depend on TV hardware, standby settings, network configuration, and manufacturer support.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, business opportunity, or device availability arising from or related to the App.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the App during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. Your license ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions—will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or courts available under the law of their country of residence.

13. Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and the Developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.

To the extent any warranty applies and the App fails to conform to it, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by the Apple Standard EULA. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the App.

The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer-protection claims, as well as the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of intellectual-property infringement claims.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism and are not listed on a U.S. Government restricted-party list. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions against you.
